Sri Lankan Member of Parliament Samara Sampath Dasanayake has been arrested on charges of bribery and has been remanded until October 23. According to reports, he was arrested while appearing before a commission to investigate allegations of bribery or corruption. Later, the Colombo Chief Judicial Magistrate Court ordered him to be remanded in custody.
