As the service of metro buses is expanding in the public transport sector in Sri Lanka, the incident of a collision between a private bus and a metro bus in Athurugiriya area has attracted attention. Following this accident, the driver of the private bus concerned has been temporarily banned and Transport Minister Bimal Ratnayake has warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who vandalize metro buses.
